COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — TNT Sports and the Mountain West Conference have reached a multi-year agreement for a full slate of live college football games to air exclusively on truTV and Max beginning this season. New Mexico will be featured in four of the 14 games, including all three Mountain West home games. Overall, truTV and Max will present 14 Mountain West college football games during the inaugural season.

The announcement of the four games means the Lobos have nine games on national television (FS1, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU and truTV/MAX). UNM’s three home games on truTV/MAX are hosting Fresno State on September 21 (6:30 pm, also UNM Homecoming), Air Force on October 12 (5 pm) and Wyoming on November 2 (2 pm). UNM’s road game at Utah State on October 19 will also be broadcast with a 2 pm kickoff time.

The only games that have not been announced for linear TV are three road games, at New Mexico State (September 28), at Colorado State (October 26) and at Hawai’i (November 30), although all will be available via the internet and streaming.

“TNT Sports provides the Mountain West with a third national television partner to showcase the outstanding student-athletes across the league,” said MW Commissioner Gloria Nevarez. “TNT Sports has always been a leader in sports broadcasting, and adding one of the top conferences in the FBS to its lineup will certainly be a benefit to MW and college football fans across the country.”

This programming brings additional live sports programming to truTV – which debuted a dedicated TNT Sports programming block in primetime earlier this year – and Max. This will also mark the return of college football to TNT Sports, which last televised games in 2006.

Additional information about TNT Sports’ coverage of Mountain West college football will be announced leading up to the start of the season.

The additional broadcast slate will supplement the MW’s previously announced 49-game national television package on CBS Television Network, CBS Sports Network, FOX and FOX Networks.

Additional broadcasts by Spectrum Sports (Hawai‘i) and regional/local/school broadcasts will be announced in the coming weeks.
