WCWS semis ➡️ Monday

The top seeds — Texas and Oklahoma — face Stanford and Florida respectively for a ticket to the WCWS finals. In the double-elimination format, Texas and Oklahoma each need just one win in the semifinals to advance, whereas Stanford and Florida need consecutive wins to trump the undefeated teams. Below is Monday's full schedule:

🥊 Stanford knocks out UCLA

The final all-Pac-12 softball game ended in close fashion. Stanford ace andUSA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year NiJaree Canady tossed eight Ks while allowing four hits, one run and no walks. UCLA was kept quiet after hitting a solo homer in the second inning, while the Cardinal built its lead, highlighted by two runs from Emily Jones.

The Cardinal advance to the WCWS semifinals on Monday, facing Texas at 7 p.m. ET.

🪽 Sac fly score for the Cardinal

Stanford widens the gap in the fifth inning. With two runners in scoring position and one out, a sac fly from pinch hitter Allie Clements drove in Emily Jones to bring Stanford up 3-1.

🙂‍↕️ Stanford snags the lead

The Cardinal resurged as it recycled their batting order in the bottom of the third.

Emily Jones sparked Stanford's momentum by singling to shortstop. Behind in the pitch count, Taryn Kern remained patient and swatted a double to the left-field warning track to plate Jones. Two batters later, Ava Gall singled and brought in Kern, stealing a 2-1 lead.

🙅‍♀️ Florida eliminates Alabama

The Gators best the Crimson Tide 6-4 and eliminate Alabama from the tournament. The outing was highlighted by Jocelyn Erickson's 3-run homer in the sixth inning, which brought the Gators up four runs. Rookie pitcher Keagan Rothrock struck out five batters, allowed one walk and four runs in the Gators' victory.

Florida advances to the WCWS semifinals for the first time since 2017. The Gators take on Oklahoma on Monday at noon ET.

🔥 UF brings heat with 3-run dinger

Jocelyn Erickson's nickname is "Saucey Jocey," and she most definitely brought the sauce this evening. The sophom*ore sent a three-run no-looker 260 feet beyond the centerfield wall to bring the Gators up 6-2 at the top of the sixth.

👊 Florida takes the upper hand

The Crimson Tide's pitching woes cost them a run in the fifth. Rookie RHP Jocelyn Briski was called from the bullpen at the top and struggled to settle in, allowing two hits, a run and a walk. Reagan Walsh's RBI single brought in Korbe Otis for her second run of the day. Florida leads going into the sixth, 3-2.

🗣️ Alabama responds

The Tide knot the score at 2 to cap off an eventful third inning. With two up and one out, Marlie Giles singled up the middle to bring in Lauren Johnson for the freshman's 16th run of the season. The Gators extinguished the threat with a double play to end the inning.

🌊 Gators turn the tide

Florida found momentum at the top of their batting lineup, with leadoff hitter Skylar Wallace singling and Korbe Otis drawing a walk. And with a deep single to right field off the bat of Jocelyn Erickson, Wallace ran home to even the score, 1-1.

Next to bat, Reagan Walsh reached on a fielder's choice to score Otis and put the Gators in the lead, 2-1.

The Crimson Tide set the tone with a run on the board in the bottom of the second inning. Bailey Dowling hit a grounder to centerfield and advanced to second on an error, then to third with Jenna Johnson's base hit. Riley Valentine followed with a single to shortstop, scoring Dowling for the first run of the evening.
