I just want to raise the question as to how they will change?
I remember during the development of Wargame Red Dragon (developed by Eugen) they said that the AI would get smarter, but on release and now the AI kinda cheats by getting more resources per tick and at the start (never really pushing the flanks ect).
SO how is the AI going to get harder, is it going to be more aggressive, more tactical ect? or is it going to cheat and have more resources?

Very valid question. If the AI gets more hard it should be mainly through better strategy not cheats. Cheats should only add minimum compliments to AI difficulty.

But alas, intelligent AI in a complex game is difficult to do. Hence the cheats.

I do understand the difficulty, but I find it frustrating when to boost the difficulty the game gives the AI more spawn points (so it starts with more units), I would not mind this if the increase was not huge, but in wargame sometimes the AI starts with double the spawnpoint.

The AI got high marks in the beta. It's challenging in a non cheap way, and is actually pretty good at behaving like a human player.

It is pretty inevitable that on highest difficulties cheating will be needed to some extent, to have an AI option that can also provide challenge to veteran players.

In yesterdays stream with Alexis, the Medium AI seemed to be smart enough, to push him pack in Phase A.

It be nasty alright, from my experience in the beta. Massive kudos to you guys for improving so vastly on the AI and making it that good, and immersive.

I enjoyed the medium AI from yesterday quite a bit too. Just wished for more concentrated moves between certain units types on the AI side.

Agreed, I liked lots of what I saw of the AI yesterday.
Seemed to me all units behave hugely better.
Don't know whether it was by chance but a few times looked like AI placed vehicles next to buildings to protect flanks and get enfilade shots off.

Am I right to therefore infer that hard AI will?

Hard and Very Hard will, there are limits to how effective you can make the AI without letting them cheat a bit. Its also a question of how much time and resources you want to devote to it.
I'd argue the key point is to not let the hard and very hard AI cheat excessively.

Some other thoughts that sprang to mind.
1. I hope there's a way to tone down the red and blue glow overlay for owned territory. I like the front line concept and how it looks to play out, but would rather not be almost constantly looking at a beautiful map through an opaque red window.
2. Hope the pace can slow enough to allow tactical movement to use the terrain. This battle had great avenues of approach to map key points and some unit strong points. I watched thinking send your infantry and a little support around that or this way through cover. But the thought will there be time for these plays.
3. Mod tools was mentioned. Great. I hope they allow modders to make campaigns.

That's nice to know. Playing medium AI in beta, I found it actually a challenge. Much better than Wargame IMO.

There should be only one AI, designed derped one is a waste of resources.
There should be "normal" difficulty level with no bonuses on either side.
I am ok with other unbalanced difficulty, since when war is about fair and even combat?
"Never played RTS before" difficulty with bonuses to Player is also ok.
